1 Step Forward 3 Steps Back

A bit of a frustrating day with the Masterclass course today. As I said in my last blog I eventually got accepted for Google Adsense. Great I thought; today I will go back a few weeks and sort out the Adsense Code and see how the blog looks. As per usual all of John Thornhill’s videos were easy to follow and explained each step of the process and everything seemed to be hunky dory. I was delighted to open my blog and see that there were already several Google Ads appearing on the blog . It was then that I realised that something was not quite right.
I still am not sure exactly what happened but somehow I managed to lose all my blog graphics. So there I was back to week 4 and reinstalling all the graphics again. Looking on the positive side it was some very good revision. The other thing it made me realise was just how much ground we have already covered on the course.
I have started reading some of the other blogs and am very inspired by what I have seen. I will be posting comments very soon. It’s great to be getting comments from fellow students too
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hi Chris,
I too had to wait for approval a second time for Adsense. Isn’t it great to be able to go back and double check what needs to be done with John’s videos. I love the pause button!
Keep up the good work and have a great day!

Hi Chris: I liked your blog very much and the title ‘Life begins at 50′ My own blog focuses on seniors so you and your group are kids to us. I enjoyed hearing about you driving the bus through the English countryside. I grew up in England and I could see the daffodils and the bluebells and smell the roses. We are learning a lot from John. In the later stage of life it is exciting to have something challenging to master. Keep up the good work. Betty
Just thought I would pop by to say hello as I am also a Masterclass student!
I am really enjoying the course and getting a lot from it – how about you?
Hope to speak to you soon in the forum as I think that will be available very soon.
Best Wishes
Keith
Hi Chris,
Love the look of your blog – glad you sorted the problem. Hope you will use the forum lots as any questions you have can normally be easily answered there, otherwise the MC support ticket is the best way to go.
Enjoy the journey.

Hi Chris,
I think we have all probably had to re-do parts of the course because we messed things up, but it’s all good practice. Keep on working away at it as you are doing very well, the blog is looking very nice indeed. Good luck with the rest of the course and with your future plans, regards Sue.
Hi Chris,
Great looking blog and excellent topic! “Life begins at 50″ I am turning 40 soon so I guess I have to wait another ten years for my life to begin again!
I can so relate to going back and forward through John’s videos a million times or so!
That is why I nagged for the transcripts for this year. Learning around my toddler was hard enough, having the videos plus the transcripts makes things so much easier.
I wouldn’t worry too much about falling behind, this course is about going at your own pace. Stay focused and stay persistant. It took me 2008 and 2009 of doing John’s courses to complete what I have so far and ‘Shhhh’ I still have some tasks I haven’t completed yet and this is my 3rd go!
As long as you do something everyday even if it is only 10 minutes it is something and the momentum will just keep growing slowly.
One of my favourite mantras is “The Tortoise Always Wins The Race!”
Enjoy the process.
Cheers
Jacinta
Hi Chris,
Don’t worry my friend. You’ll do just fine. Just keep a positive attitude & take action!
Best regards,
